Peptidoteca has no sign-up, no login and no user accounts. We do not run contact forms, newsletters, comment threads or checkout. We do not sell, rent or share personal data, and we run no advertising or social media pixels. We do run one visitor-identification tracker, described below, whose purpose is to recognise the organisation a visit comes from rather than the person making it. The reconstitution calculator and the other tools run entirely in your browser, and the numbers you type into them are never sent to us.

Three things happen automatically. Our host, Vercel, records standard server request logs, which include your IP address, the page requested, a timestamp and your browser user agent. Separately, Sentry captures technical diagnostics when a page throws an error, so that we can fix it. Sentry samples a small share of page loads for performance timing, and when an error does occur it records the sequence of actions in the affected page so the fault can be reproduced. Both are used to keep the site working and secure, on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in operating a functioning website.

The third is a visitor-identification tracker from Apollo. It sends the address of the page you are reading, the address you arrived from, and any campaign tags in the link, to aplo-evnt.com, and it may pass the same information to LiveIntent, an identity provider Apollo calls to help work out which organisation a visit came from. It is aimed at the organisation, not at you as an individual, and we use it to understand which businesses read this reference. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing who our professional audience is. You may object at any time, on the terms in “Your rights” below, and we will act on it.

We set no advertising cookies, and nothing here follows you to other websites. Your browser stores a single preference on this device, the light or dark theme you chose, under the key pep-theme. It holds nothing that identifies you and it never leaves your browser. If you switch the site to Spanish or English, a functional cookie named NEXT_LOCALEremembers that choice; it contains only the two-letter language code. The Apollo tracker described above stores a random identifier in your browser’s local storage under the key apolloAnonId, together with a short queue of pending events, so that repeat visits can be recognised as the same organisation. Clearing your site data removes all of them.

The addresses published on this site, including the corrections route, reach a mailbox we read. When you write to us we hold your message and your address for as long as it takes to deal with it and to keep a record of the correction, and we use them for nothing else.

Outbound links, including those to Readypep, carry a plain referral tag so the destination can see that the visit came from Peptidoteca. The tag identifies this site, not you. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site, under their privacy policy, and this one no longer applies.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you may ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, or ask for it in a portable form. You may also complain to your national data protection authority. Exercising any of these costs nothing and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Email privacy@peptidoteca.com from the address you want removed, or name the address in the message, and say that you want your data deleted. We do not need an account number or any proof of identity beyond that, because the only personal data we are likely to hold is correspondence. We confirm within five business days and complete the deletion within thirty days, then write back to tell you it is done. Server logs and error diagnostics age out on their own retention clock, described below, and are deleted with everything else in the same run where they can still be identified.

Server request logs are held for a short operational window and then discarded by our host. Sentry error diagnostics are retained for ninety days and then deleted automatically. Email correspondence is kept while the matter is open and for our own records afterwards, and is deleted on request.

Vercel hosts the site and handles delivery and server logging. Sentry handles error reporting. Both act as processors on our instructions, under contract, and neither is permitted to use the data for their own purposes. Apollo, in the United States, provides the visitor-identification tracker, and LiveIntent, also in the United States, is the identity provider Apollo calls to resolve an organisation. Those two hold and use visit data on their own terms as well as ours, which is a weaker arrangement than the one we have with Vercel and Sentry, and it is the reason they are named here rather than left implicit. Some processing takes place outside the country you are reading from, under the transfer safeguards those providers publish.

This is a reference for laboratory research and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly hold data about anyone under sixteen. If you believe we do, write to the address above and we will remove it.
